Reduced Inequalities

Anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies

KMITL has the ethics regulations and guidelines for KMITL employees and staff at any job position. We have set rules and punishments about embezzlement, molestation, workplace discrimination, and sexual harassment. These are the most serious offense of our institute. Violators will be fired according to the rules. Meanwhile, every employee and staff should take appropriate measures aimed at preventing and eliminating those issues.

Recruit students/staff/faculty

Recruitment forms a base for the selection process. The proper recruitment will help in employing a workforce that suits the organizational requirements. Base on human rights, we believe in social equality. We do not focus on any programmes to recruit students and employees from under-represented groups. Hence, students, staff, and faculty from every group, country, genders, region, and age can be recruit followed by their knowledge, abilities, skills, and qualifications. For students, we have been measuring the number of applications and admission, for those who are women, low-income students, and disabled students since the first day of admission until graduation by counting their amount every year. We always record the number of students to evaluate our institute achievement. It will be used as basic data to develop our educational system.

Facilities for people with disabilities

KMITL administration concerns about the well-being needs of people with disabilities. We installed wheelchair or stroller ramps and surface podotactile which allow the visually impaired to feel where the sidewalk ends to support their daily life in the institute. Wheelchair ramps help

people with disabilities access public and private buildings easily especially the Central Library to learn new knowledge. Meanwhile, we have prepared some toilets for people with disabilities to support their good hygiene. Now, we are currently creating projects for providing support services at many departments as hire personal assistants, interpreters, or psychiatrists who can help and facilitate them in their daily life the institute.
